S3Crypt offers a streamlined approach to password management, alleviating the burden of remembering numerous complex passwords. Rather than struggling with multiple entries, users only need to recall two essential components, which enable the creation of highly secure and unique passwords. This application is versatile, functioning effectively with or without a password manager. Essentially, it ensures that your secure passwords remain accessible even in scenarios where your password manager may be unavailable.

The two components you need to remember are straightforward:

<ul>
 <li>Master Key: Select a memorable phrase that is unique to you, as this will serve consistently across all websites.</li>
 <li>Unique Key: Develop a repeatable format tailored for each website, ensuring that it differs from site to site.</li>
</ul>

For instance:

<ul>
 <li>For Amazon:
 <ul>
 <li>Master Key: ExampleMaster</li>
 <li>Unique Key: amazon</li>
 </ul>
 </li>
 <li>For Costco:
 <ul>
 <li>Master Key: ExampleMaster</li>
 <li>Unique Key: costco</li>
 </ul>
 </li>
</ul>

As illustrated, the Master Key remains constant across different platforms, while the Unique Key adapts based on the specific site.

Once you have established your Master Key and Unique Key format, S3Crypt enables the generation of exceptionally secure passwords for each website. To initiate the process, input your Master Key and Unique Key, then click the Generate button. The resulting password can be easily copied using the Copy button and pasted wherever it is needed. This method eliminates the necessity of memorizing a multitude of passwords; users simply need to retain their Master Key and Unique Key format. The same website password can be recreated with the consistent Master Key and Unique Key combination.

Key points to remember include:

 <li>S3Crypt neither stores nor saves any passwords.</li>
 <li>You function as your own password manager, possessing sole authority over password creation.</li>
 <li>Your Master Key remains unchanged.</li>
 <li>Your Unique Key format is also consistent.</li>
 <li>Generated passwords derive from the combination of both the Master Key and Unique Key; any alterations result in a completely different password.</li>
 <li>A generated password cannot reveal the keys used to create it.</li>
 <li>Both Master Key and Unique Key are case sensitive; hence, uppercase and lowercase letters yield distinct passwords.</li>
</ol>
